Currencies & Rewards

New Dawn features multiple currency systems that allow players to earn rewards through various activities. These currencies can be spent at reward vendors for exclusive items, decorations, and power-ups.

Currency Types

Champion Tokens

Champion Tokens are earned by participating in and completing champion spawns throughout Britannia.

How to Earn:

  • Deal damage to champion spawn creatures
  • Defeat the champion boss
  • Tokens awarded based on participation
  • All champion spawns award tokens

Uses:

  • Purchase rewards at Champion Token vendor in Dawn
  • Exclusive decorative items
  • Special equipment
  • Rare dyes and customization items

Harrower Shards

Harrower Shards are premium currency earned from the most challenging PvM content.

How to Earn:

  • Collect 6 champion skulls
  • Create Harrower scroll (Patch 0.36)
  • Summon and defeat the Harrower
  • Shards awarded based on damage contribution

Uses:

  • Purchase exclusive rewards at Harrower vendor in Dawn
  • Rarest decoratives
  • Most powerful items
  • Ultra-rare dyes
  • Prestigious rewards

Harrower Scroll System:

  • Place all 6 skulls on platform braziers
  • Receive a scroll to summon Harrower later
  • Optional: Create 1-hour temp guild region
  • Allies/guild members appear normal, others orange and attackable

Pirate Currency

Earn pirate-specific currency by completing pirate adventures.

How to Earn:

  • Complete pirate map instances
  • Defeat pirate bosses
  • Amount scales with map tier
  • Red < Blue < Purple tiers

Uses:

  • Special pirate-themed items
  • Naval decorations
  • Unique equipment
  • Cosmetic rewards

Rift Shards

Source: Codex Rifts

Rift Shards are earned by defeating powerful rift masters.

How to Earn:

  • Deal damage to rift masters in Codex Rifts
  • Top damager gets the most shards
  • Scaling down based on damage contribution
  • Minimum 1 shard for significant contribution

Uses:

  • Codex Rift-themed rewards
  • Historical recreations
  • Special decoratives

Reward Vendors

Location: Dawn (Event Center)

All currency-based reward vendors are located in Dawn, the Event Center:

  • Travel via Ocllo to Dawn
  • Safe zone - no PvP or harmful acts
  • Multiple vendor types
  • Browse all available rewards

  • Accepts Champion Tokens
  • Decorative items
  • Champion-themed rewards

Harrower Shard Vendor:

  • Accepts Harrower Shards
  • Most exclusive items
  • Rarest decoratives

Pirate Reward Vendor:

  • Accepts Pirate currency
  • Naval and pirate themes
  • Sea-faring decorations
  • Adventure-themed items

Rift Reward Vendor:

  • Accepts Rift Shards and Codex Shards
  • Time-displaced items
  • Historical artifacts
  • Rift-themed decorations
