Getting Started¶
New to New Dawn, or coming back to UO after a long break? Start here. Install the game, set up the client, and find out what to do once you log in.
The short version
- Create an account on the Game Portal and install the game.
- Log in and type
[youngto join the Young Player Program. You'll be teleported to Ocllo. - Read the New Player Guide and get your first character going.
Installation¶

On Windows
Create your account, download the launcher, and log in. Takes a few minutes.

On Linux
Run the game under Wine. Tested on Ubuntu and Debian.
Client¶

Built-in Assistant
Razor, rebuilt inside the client. Same tabs, same options, and it runs on every platform.

Custom Art, Gumps & Themes
Replace item art and UI graphics with your own images, and make your own assistant themes.
