Thanks for trying out New Dawn. Getting the game installed only takes a few minutes

How to Start Playing New Dawn

Step 1: Create Your Account

1. Go to https://portal.uonewdawn.com/ and log in with your Discord account to create a new New Dawn account
2. Review the Getting Started guide on the portal
3. Review the server rules to learn what New Dawn is all about

Step 2: Download The Launcher

Windows

1. Download & install the launcher from https://portal.uonewdawn.com/getting-started
2. Let the launcher download game files (approximately 1.5GB)

Download Time

The initial download is about 1.5GB and may take some time depending on your connection speed.

Linux

If you're running Linux, head over to our Linux installation guide to get going.

Step 3: Authenticate Your Launcher

1. Click "Enter Britannia"
2. Log in with your Discord account if you haven't already
3. Click "Authenticate New Dawn Launcher"

Step 4: Enter the Game

1. Click "Enter Britannia" again
2. Select one of your three accounts & create/select a character
3. Welcome to New Dawn!

That's it. No separate client download to hunt for, no entering server names and ports, and no manual patching. If you hit a snag along the way, the Discord community is happy to help you get sorted.
