Rift Seasons¶
During a Rift Season, the Codex Rifts are taken over by a limited-time theme. The town rifts swap their usual champions for seasonal ones, with new creatures, new mini-bosses, and a season boss.
🎃 Halloween: The Eight Nightmares¶
From October 25 to November 2, every town rift is taken over by its own horror story.
- Each rift has four waves before its mini-boss appears
- Clear all eight rifts to call up the season boss
- All rift kills pay out Halloween Candy in place of Rift Shards
- Spend your Halloween Candy at the Reaper's Hollow Market
Phantom Fleet Chart
Any Halloween rift creature can drop a Phantom Fleet Chart, but it's super rare. Mini-bosses drop one far more often. See The Phantom Fleet to learn how to use it.
🍬 Trick or Treat¶
During the Halloween rift season, say "trick or treat" and pick a shopkeeper to beg candy from.
- Sometimes you get a treat (a piece of candy), sometimes a trick! Tricks range from a gang of costumed brats pelting you with rotten eggs to an exploding candy bag
- Shopkeepers remember you. Come back too soon and you'll get sent away. Come back later and they'll start to wonder whether they've seen you before
- Push your luck too far and they'll refuse you until next Halloween. Spread your visits across many shopkeepers
- Players with 100 Begging have a small chance of receiving a rare Halloween treat instead of candy
- Don't bother asking the town's children for candy. They're keeping theirs

Mini-boss: The Headless Rider
- Pumpkin Hurl: throws a flaming pumpkin that flares where it lands and bursts a moment later. Move!
- Hellhound Call: at half health he calls three hell hounds to run you down.
🎃 Britain: The Pumpkin King¶

Mini-boss: Jack Gourdbone, the Pumpkin King
- Gourd Barrage: lobs exploding gourds at up to three players at once.
- Imp Revel: brings four imps to the party at two-thirds health, and four more at one-third.

Mini-boss: The Stalker
- Relentless Pursuit: wherever you run, he's already there. He appears beside whoever is farthest away and leaves them bleeding.
- Rise Again: you only think you killed him. He gets back up once, faster than before. Stay ready.

- Blood Thirst: his bite drains your blood to heal his wounds.
- Bat Swarm: at half health he bursts into a swarm of vampire bats and re-forms nearby.

- Lightning Rod: every 15 seconds, lightning strikes a random nearby player.
- Galvanic Surge: releases a jolt of current into everyone standing close to him.
🧙 Moonglow: The Hollow Coven¶

- Poison Brew: throws bottles that leave patches of poison field under up to three players.
- Sisters' Call: at half health, two witches of the coven join her.

Mini-boss: The Beast of Yew
- Blood Frenzy: the more it bleeds, the faster it moves and the harder it bites. At a quarter health it enrages.
- Howl: a bone-chilling howl that drains your stamina and can freeze you in terror.

Mini-boss: Grimm the Dancing Clown
- Jack-in-the-Box: "Peekaboo!" He pops up next to a random player and knocks them back.
- Balloon Party: at half health he lets go of four balloons. You'll float too.
