SERVER PATCH 1.18.1¶

October 16^th, 2026¶

A follow-up to patch 1.18, with fixes and balance changes for Order vs. Chaos, Sea Encounters and the Halloween Rift Season.

Weather now varies from cycle to cycle. Instead of every storm building to the same downpour, a cycle may bring dry thunder, a light drizzle, steady rain or a full storm, and you'll only get the "approaching" warning ahead of a real storm
New Codex Rifts now open 3–6 minutes after the last one ends. The wait used to almost always land near 2 minutes
Fixed a gap in the Covetous dungeon region
World champion spawn countdowns now name the champion that actually spawns

You can no longer recall or gate out of an outpost. Walk out of the outpost region first, so a losing fight can't be escaped by recall
Blade Spirits and Energy Vortex can no longer be summoned inside an outpost. You can still cast them from outside the walls
You can now Teleport around inside an outpost. Teleporting in over the walls is still blocked
When the season lead changes hands, it's announced in game and on Discord.
Faction store rewards now have their own unique hues instead of reusing the faction colors
The Blood Red Mask Dye is replaced by a faction mask dye in your side's regalia hue
The Old Minax Stronghold outpost and its capture area have moved slightly

Fixed sea encounter holds: anyone can now loot the hold chests (it used to say "You cannot pick that up"), and the Ghost Ship's pirate chest and the Derelict's crates are no longer locked. Traps are still there
The Distressed Fisherman now rewards each player once, not once per character. Characters on the same account or linked Discord account share one reward
Sea encounter bosses swing about half as fast and hit a little softer, so a tank can hold them with bandages. Their special abilities are unchanged
Pirate Raider captain: damage 25–35 → 20–28
Captain Hollowmere: damage 18–26 → 16–22
Bosun Blackgut: damage 20–28 → 16–22
Old Jack swings a little slower
